Psalm 85:10, NASB
My journey...
The term, “My journey,” evokes thoughts of purpose, a life mission or goal. The term has an aura of spirituality. Feelings of wonder and possibility stir when I say the words. I adjust my life and actions according to how I see my journey.
Journeying, in a sense, is an individualized course. I can’t walk your Life’s path, and you can’t walk mine. Yet what we do in this life has an effect on those near and those far removed from us. I challenge you to give this some reflection.
If Life truly is my journey, then I should do what’s best for me. My Truth is My Truth, and you should live according to yours. You do what’s right in your eyes, and I’ll do what’s right in mine.
Isn’t this the mindset of the Day? And the world is suffering the repercussion of our selfish choices.
When I put myself first, your needs fall well beneath my concern. What happens in another family, another town, another nation is not my burden to bear.
Doing Life together
Consider this mindset. When my focus shifts from me to us, now your well-being matters to me. Your hurt becomes my concern. Your lack becomes an opportunity for me to meet your need. When I see you faltering, or even see that you’ve fallen, I will most gladly reach out my hand to draw you up.
We don’t have to agree with one another to act respectfully toward one another. Words and actions that promote kindness and compassion and brotherhood make our individual and collective journeys more peaceful and more satisfying.
May God bless you on your journey.

Words and actions that promote kindness and compassion and brotherhood make our individual and collective journeys more peaceful and more satisfying.
